About Us

We started this website as a joke, with little to no expectations, but now it's on its way to becoming the best Romanian urbex site out there. We didn't do this for money or popularity. We—the owners—were originally just a duo, like most of you reading this, looking for ruins to explore. We kept searching until we realized there was no website to guide us. That's when the idea for URBEX ROMANIA was born.

We spent weeks gathering every single place we visited—and even some we didn't—to create what we now call the great map of Romanian urbex (no official name yet, but just calling it "the map" felt too plain).
